Tahir Aydogdu
He was born in Istanbul in 1959. He took his first qanun lessons from his father, Gültekin AydoÄŸdu, a famous qanun artist. He started working at Turkish Radio and Television (TRT) Ankara Radio in 1981. He graduated from Middle East Technical University (METU) Department of Physics in 1983. AydoÄŸdu, who is also an educator as well as his artistic personality, was a lecturer at the METU Department of Music and Fine Arts and the conductor of the METU Classical Turkish Music Choir from 1987 to 2001, and he gave many concerts and trained many students. For his efforts, he was given the "2001 METU Appreciation Award". Additionally, he served as TRT Ankara Radio TSM Director between 1997 and 2000, and worked as a lecturer at Gazi University, Faculty of Fine Arts Education, Department of Music Education, on various dates.
